A Whisper of Revival

(For Renaissance Porterville Gathering)

I see a person jumping on a trampoline and after 2 or 3 jumps, they jump as high as . . . as if they were rocket propelled. But then I see a person jumping on the ground. And they’re trying to jump as high as they can, but they can only physically manage to jump a foot or so off the ground.

And God says – You’ve tried and tried to catch air and take off in your own strength. And you thought – I am getting tired and I’m exhausted.

But God says – you knew you were born to fly. And something in you is burning for greatness. You knew you were called to soar with the eagles. But you couldn’t muster the strength to launch.

But now I will show you how. And when you see it and you fully understand the beauty and simplicity of My plan, you will sigh with relief – because it isn’t about your strength and it isn’t about your skill and ability to establish and launch what burns in you. It’s about connecting to what I have already set in place, and is indeed before you. And when you find your place, you will find the momentum that is needed to fly. And you will know that you are safe and you will know that you are finally home.

I see a flower like a daisy – and the petals are all folding in towards the center one at a time. And God says – This is a season of a Great Coming Together. I’m uniting different streams and movements of the past by causing those who were greatly affected by those to begin gravitating towards each other.  So, ones you have rubbed elbows with in the past will now lock arms with you. And there will be a mass cross-pollination and waves of glory and joy will surround you as you come together seeking but one thing – Me.

And I see popcorn cooking in a pan of oil and piece after piece begins to turn white and pop in the air. And God says – here comes the heat! My fire will consume you. And when it does you will JUMP to life! A kernel of popcorn in its small hard shell looks very innocent and safe. It’s potential cannot be seen. But when it is exposed to hot oil, it bursts out of its shell and shoots in the air. And it’s a beautiful sight.

So, do not fear or dread the fire. I am coming to consume, to release and set free.

I see a bowling ball rolling down the lane and it knocks all of the pins down. And there are names on the pins like “Religious-ness”, Fear of a New Thing, Disappointment, Frustration and Weariness. And God says – I’m knocking down the strongholds that are holding my people captive and restraining them from being completely free to run with what I am doing now.

And I see heavy rains and God says – the rain is coming. And it will be a rain that washes away the walls that have been built with ways of doing things and programs and schedules and times and length of activities. And I am replacing these with My way of doing things.

I see a long row of people standing next to each other and they all have their hands in the air in surrender. And they’re saying – I give up. I can’t and don’t want to do it my way any longer. And I see them reach to those standing behind them and pull them in front of them. And they say – I don’t have to be #1 any longer. It’s your turn to shine.

And God is pleased. And He blesses those leaders in greater ways than they had ever imagined.

And I see the Kingdom of God advancing like wild horses running across a desert. And God says – by doing less you are doing more. And greatly will I move on your behalf and because of your obedience.

I see bricks being laid row after row. And God says, just as I laid the foundation, I am building the structure on top of it – a structure that will house My glory.

And I see people volunteering to help and then some staying to help and then some leave instead of staying to complete the work. And God says, the excitement of a new project will draw many of the curious to help build. But once they see what the building will look like, some will be disappointed and even disgusted and will leave. But keep building, keeping your focus on Me and what I have put in your heart to build.

And I see some of those who left returning with bows and arrows and are shooting them at those who decided to stay and build. And God says, keep building. I will protect you and I will protect the work.

Love, forgive earnestly and walk uprightly – knowing I am your shield and I am on your side.

I see a hand spreading layer upon layer upon layer.  And God says, I have indeed laid the foundation.  And grace upon grace relationships established and circumstances unfolded, I have carefully and thoughtfully laid the groundwork.  And now I will begin the work of constructing the building.

And I see the building stretches high.  And God says, when a strong foundation has been established, it is able to withstand the weight of a great work.  And you do not even see or are not even aware of all of the sections in the foundation.  But it will fit together like a puzzle.  And the people who have withstood the winds of change and diversity that have accompanied their journey and process of building the foundation have at the same time gone through a heart transformation.  And like one heart beating – so will you carry My heart and My vision for the work ahead.

These are My plowmen.  These are My forerunners and builders.  And I am pleased.  I am pleased with you.

God says – I am giving you a new name.

And I see new life breaking out – and new joy and freedom. And I see love being restored in relationships.

And I see a group of people standing and looking at each other and they are all agreeing that they had sure been through some things and that yes, it is worth it.

And I see large scales like armor falling off and leaving the people vulnerable and exposed. And it is a good thing.

And God says – what has burned in you has been unable to release because you were not yet who I was making you to be.

And I see a vessel with cracks all through it. And I see a bright light begin to peek out through the cracks.

Give all of yourself. Give it all and I will give you ALL you have asked for.

And God says – I have only allowed you to see what I wanted you to see. And those who chose to see with human understanding have stepped aside. And this is how I do My choosing. But those who have seen with My eyes will go from glory to glory. And I will move mightily in your midst. And you will embrace a city. And I hear “Servant Church”.

I am even now forming what that which is coming will look like. You might say – well, I remember this movement or that movement and this was the strength and message here and there. And you might look at another movement and say – it’s a youth movement or it’s a hippie movement. And all of these are bright expression of aspects of My nature. For I move through whom I choose and in a way that please Me. And it is joyful to be a vehicle of an extension of My being.

And even now I am tossing the seeds onto the ground. The seeds that will spring up will form a beautiful garden planted by Me and for My pleasure and purpose. And you are the seeds. And the rain will bring forth freedom and a beauty that can only be magnified by My involvement.

And I see flowers dancing in the sunlight. And they flow and sway together in the breeze. And God says – Continue to allow Me to bring you freedom in every area – so that My joy and radiance will be made manifest in you. And many will come to the light that will radiate from this group of passionate lovers of Me, says God.

I see that the last season was one of abundance and the Lord says, I lavished upon you bountiful food and grace abundant with blessings.

But in the next season, says God, I am calling you through a more narrow space – where simplicity and brokenness and repentance will be required.

This, God says, is a place where there is less of you and more of Me – where you will touch My glory with empty hands and less words.

So allow what needs to melt away – in My glory and refining fire.

Come close to Me as I prepare you at an even deeper level that few reach and experience, says God.
